Malik Middleton has been leading a double life for many years, like most people who work in indie film, theater, etc.
The difference between Malik and most people, however, is that his “other” life shines a tad more heroic. He serves proudly as a Chicago Firefighter Paramedic.
Malik’s also extremely dedicated — he arrived to the set of PYRITE one day straight from work, changing out of his paramedic gear and right into the role of Barchest.
It’s likely this dedication that landed Malik perhaps his most famous role to date, as Chuck, in R. Kelly’s hip-hopera, TRAPPED IN THE CLOSET.
