QUICK BIO
Rob Skrocki was actually cast as Old Man in PYRITE before it was PYRITE… way back in 1998 when the project first began as FOOL’S GOLD.
Indeed, he was acting in The Trap Door Theater’s amazing play SUGAR DOWN, BILLE HOAK, when Director Eric Battersby and his Casting Director sat in the audience… quickly realizing they had found the Old Man character’s perfect actor.
Rob’s performance in SUGAR DOWN was nothing short of amazing, and he made a theater career out of amazing — performing in play after play to critical acclaim nearly every single time.
His last performance was in 2010’s STATE OF THE UNION, with the Strawdog Theater Company, and only Rob knows if he is truly retired, or if, like his doppleganger Phil Jackson, he’s ready for one more run!
